News: SPD called to hit-and-run on S Carstens Place in Georgetown area

SEATTLE, WA — A hit-and-run collision was reported Thursday evening in south Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident took place at the intersection with Airport Way South, north of King County International Airport. Officers with the SPD’s South Precinct responded to the scene after receiving a call at 5:54 p.m.

While the circumstances of the event have not been made public, dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) involving a truck. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before authorities arrived.

At this time, the department has not released a description of the hit-and-run vehicle and/or suspect, and no injuries have been confirmed.
