News: Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash near Redmond’s Viewpoint Open Space

REDMOND, WA — A man in his 40s died Wednesday afternoon following a hit-and-run collision in Redmond, according to KOMO News.

The incident unfolded in the 2400 block of 176th Court Northeast and was first reported by Redmond Police at 3:44 p.m.

Preliminary details show that the victim was struck by a Nissan Pathfinder, whose driver fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived.

As first responders tended to the scene, part of Northeast 24th Street was shut down between 180th Place Northeast and 175th Avenue Northeast.

The Redmond Police Department has not released a description of the fleeing driver..
